Yes, we purchase premium support. There is no way not to have support for a service as critical as backup systems and, even though Bacula Enterprise is so efficient, we believe that support guarantees us an extra layer of security for our data. Today we use Bronze support, however, in our next contract renewal we will migrate to a higher level of support, to have access to more functionalities, resources, and even more agile service
There was a situation in which we needed to migrate a virtual machine from a legacy cluster to a new cluster that we had acquired, but that VM had a problem with its virtual disks that made it impossible to be migrated, even with all the support from VMWare we were unable to carry out the migration. It was then that we turned to Bacula support and together, via a bare-metal recovery, we managed to migrate the virtual machine and had no problems.
