Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

I use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to manage a portfolio of donors, track opportunities, and communications, and stay organized. I frequently use actions to track every time I interact with one of my donors, cultivating the relationship that leads me to the solicitation, then stewardship and starting the process all over again. NXT makes it easy to do that and collaborate with my colleagues on donors we have in common.

Helps us keep prospects well stewarded and go through others that are not as qualified in an easy and efficient manner. Being able to see how many time's I've done outreach to a prospective donor allows me to know when it's time to take them out of my pipeline. Being able to see how many communications we have had throughout cultivation allows me to easily tell when they would be ready for a solicitation, Lastly, tracking stewardship activities and NXT reminding me of my donor's birthdays makes it easy to keep my donors happy.

Easy to understand and accommodating to different schedules. During the pandemic, online training made it easy for me and my coworkers to connect without putting anyone at risk. The online trainers were very thorough, shared their screens, and walked us through utilizing different tools and filters that we could easily follow along with on our own platforms. Their follow-up after the training was even helpful, providing resources to learn more or circle back on anything we needed to.
Completely different ways to track events and fundraising processing. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is much more detailed and covers all aspects of fundraising. Classy is more event-specific which is what I had used it for. However, being able to add appeal codes, track people's attendance of events, and fundraising dollars for those events were great in NXT.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is well suited for all non-profits to keep track of gifts, and stewardship opportunities, and help development team members stay organized. I can easily pull up a portfolio of segmented donors and filter them whichever way I need. If I need to look at their most recent gift or their first gift, I can pull that up. If I need to see if there are patterns in their gift designations, I can easily pull that up. If the donor asks for a gift report, I can make that happen. NXT has multi-functions for many development scenarios.

The single most important factor was for it to be easily used, easily accessible, and help us import data from old software so we could keep records and notes on donors. This helped us not have to retract to an old school way of keeping paper files on donors or past gifts.
I would make sure we really understood all of the positive qualities of the softwares we were considering and what made sense for us as an organization. Many other softwares had some qualities we were looking for but NXT seemed to have everything we would need. This made it easy to compare to others and easy to determine it was the right choice.
