Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

RE NXT serves as our organization's CRM. In this capacity we enter donors, donation amounts, other information so we can track, acknowledge, cultivate, retain, donors. It serves well as the conduit for to FE; however, there are significant weaknesses in the system with respect to how it integrates with marketing. The fact that so often BB products are closed to partnering with other sources causes great consternation given the costs of your adds ons and the fact they do not meet our needs is frustrating.
  • Integrate with other sources
  • Monitor the donation cycle for major gifts
  • Is not as seamless to use as other CRM products
  • NXT does not have all the capabilities of RE DB and the DB is not as easy to use as NXT
  • Dashboards are not as robust as your competitors
  • Does not integrate well with many products due to your closed system
  • The opportunities function is not as robust as other organizations given limited search capabilities
  • donation capture
  • connection to FE
  • Seamless transition between RE and FE
  • Ability to see long-term revenue trends
Your analytics and data intelligence are weak compared to competitors. For example, your wealth rating is very elementary and often does not provide wealth for females. We have actually added additional information into the system to provide us what we need. BB definitions for many standard Fundraising terms are different than the industry standards, thus making the information provided as not be accurate so work arounds are needed. You are not keeping up with your peers in respect to this area in my opinion.
  • Online Training
  • In-Person Training
Your online training is okay. I have one staff who has taken almost every course. This is good; however, hasn't been able to determine how to incorporate what she has learned into our business practices. I have taken some trainings and I find some of your presenters to be outdated in their view of the current development environment, they talk down to the participants rather than pull them into the conversation. Perhaps this is good for someone in a very small organization with no experience; however, I expect that is not the customer you want or expect you are speaking to.
RE NXT was in the organization that I joined, so I did not choose it and would not have chosen it given limited capabilities for building a development business. In my opinion, RE NXT doesn't stack up. The fact that is it difficult and time consuming to change CRM and Financial Systems is the reason we are still using these products...not because they are providing us the tools and information we need.

Do you think Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT's feature set?

Yes

Did Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT again?

No

BlackBaud (BB) Raiser's Edge (RE) NXT would work okay if all you are interested in is using it as a donation capture tool. The capabilities to help you grow your business is very weak, as mentioned previously. The standards reporting dashboards are nice to have as one can just open up reporting and get immediate results.
