Overall Satisfaction with Chartbeat

We are a media company. Publishers use Chartbeat primarily to understand how their journalism is performing in real time. A number of teams have monitors up in their work areas to follow Chartbeat and to see which content is trending at that moment.

Some teams also use Chartbeat for performance data but we rely on Adobe Analytics for performance information leading to questions about which is "right."

it has helped us to easily identify what is working and to publish more content like the piece in question or enhance what has already been published. Chartbeat also lets us know what should stay on the page longer and when something might be able to be moved lower or off the page.
The tool is very easy to use for people who might not be as comfortable using analytical tools as researchers who work with data all of the time. Our journalists are comfortable working with Chartbeat, appreciate the information provided and are able to make informed decisions based on the data from Chartbeat.
We have. The additional tools are greatly appreciated. The A/B headline testing tool is a bit more complicated to use properly and understand but more advanced teams have found it helpful.
Definitely. As we try to move teams away from vanity metrics to focus on engagement, we appreciate all of these more qualitative metrics that Chartbeat provides. For us, engaged time is particularly helpful in terms of looking at performance.
We use Chartbeat for real-time evaluation and Adobe Analytics for longer-term performance reporting. Chartbeat is easier to use overall, particularly for content producers. Researchers tend to rely on Adobe Analytics for their reports. We have found that we need to keep using both.

Chartbeat -- as advertised -- is the best in class tool to manage real-time website performance. The tool is extremely helpful to benchmark performance and to move beyond vanity metrics like clicks by also tracking engaged time.

The only downside for us is actually an upside for Chartbeat -- because the tool is so easy to use and understand our journalists prefer it over other performance tracking tools. Chartbeat has some information on performance but much more extensive information can be found in other tools. We also work more to track the accuracy of the metrics in other tools.
