Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We use ClickUp to track the tasks and all work we have to do for every project that we tackle. We use ClickUp to create individual tasks, then track the details of those tasks and pass them along to other team members as work gets completed, details get clarified, and things get done. We also use ClickUp to host all of our documentation about each project and have it be easily accessible and linkable right inside the app instead of having to bring up a new tab or website.
  • Task management
  • Team organization
  • Splitting up work
  • Scoping out project specifics
  • Better system for getting feedback from users and transparency in when they are implementing it
  • Faster live reload times
  • Better functionality for creating schedules that are not task-based
  • More clear & organized team communication about tasks
  • Less wasted time on projects
  • Greatly increased organization for tasks
  • Better documentation for all projects
Everyone can better track how tasks are getting completed in a project so they can know the status of project. Previously, people constantly had to ask for status updates over chat or in person regarding how far along work was on a specific task or project. These days, people can just comment directly on a task which will ping other users' ClickUp notifications, so we are able to easily facilitate having both in-person employees and fully remote employees without any speedbumps or differences in experience.
We have been able to remove the usage of some other apps, which has been really nice, but there are some that we cannot replace yet using ClickUp which has been a bit annoying.

  • Google Docs have been able to be replaced by ClickUp's built-in Docs system. These text documents are really nice as they can be linked directly in tasks and can have tasks linked inside them in a visually appealing way. You can also use them to build personal "wikis" of information for different projects and structures.
  • Basecamp has been able to be replaced for its task management functionality. We can track the status of work and projects through ClickUp tasks which is awesome. We can have conversations about the different tasks directly within the task comments.
  • We have NOT been able to replace Basecamp's "Docs and Files" feature, nor Google Drive. ClickUp does not allow us to easily host non-text documents in a storage-based format, which means we still have to rely on annoying external services for that functionality.
  • ClickUp does not allow for easy integration of native spreadsheets. They use "tasks" to represent spreadsheet items, and it is a bit clunky and hard to use so we still use Google Sheets for spreadsheet creation.
Prior to ClickUp, we were using another project management software (Basecamp) but things were never centrally organized. ClickUp has allowed us to locate all of our work in once place and put all of the details for every project in one, unified location. We don't have to navigate to another website at the same time just to read about some details of a project and grab resources, we can just do it straight from the tasks telling us what to do for work within ClickUp.
