Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense
Concur Travel made the travel process so much easier with our company. Employees could easily link their frequent flier and other loyalty programs into Concur. From there, employees were able to book travel and have it ready to flow easily to the expense portion of Concur. Concur Expense made life much easier for employees as they could easily manage expense details on their computer or mobile device. Everything was timestamped as well, so admins could verify if there were any questions.
- The Concur Travel portion is easy to book hotels, rental cars, etc.
- Concur Expense is easy to use and can be done swiftly from phone or computer.
- The timestamp feature is great for internal controls and monitoring expense report approval details.
- Concur Expense is very user friendly for entering and approving expense reports.
- Concur Expense could be improved in regards to connecting the Concur data to an outside ERP system.
- It can be clunky at times trying to do large uploads of new users.
- The basic reporting package could be improved, but I can understand Concur wanting to offer a more robust reports package with additional costs.
- Concur cut down the time needed for the expense report process when compared to the manual process used previously.
- Significant cost savings were achieved with Concur as employees' and managers' time to create and approve reports was reduced significantly.
- In terms of auditing Concur made it much easier to quickly review timestamps and have all data backed up for later retrieval versus relying on email server(s).
The Concur platform is used by several government agencies that have much stricter guidelines than private companies. Concur is part of SAP and therefore has access to a large support network. Concur is always hosting training meetings to ensure that its users are taking full advantage of all features and the Concur employees assigned to their clients check in to make sure everyone is happy with Concur service.
Our firm used Dynamics NAV as our ERP system. We were able to format the Concur detail into a CSV format to download and then upload into the ERP system. There are other tools for newer versions of NAV (Business Central), so a company may have to work with a third party to upload Concur data if working with a legacy ERP system.
The Concur platform made the booking of travel much more streamlined. If an employee had to cancel a flight or the customer had to cancel the business trip flight credits were conveniently stored in Concur. Users could easily take advantage of corporate discounts by booking through Concur Travel. The receipt capture feature was very innovative and allowed users to quickly scan receipts from business meals and have the detail ready in Concur to be submitted for approval.
It has made everyone's life much easier as users have many of their charges loaded automatically when using their corporate card. Employees are able to file expense reports faster and get paid quicker for out-of-pocket expenses. Concur has a feature where employees can be paid automatically upon a batch being closed, so this saves time for the AP team.
