Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)

I use Connectwise Control as part of my side tech support work which focuses mainly on consumers. I moved away from the area where the majority of my regular clients resided and this service has everything I need to continue supporting them remotely. While this was my primary reason and the needs I sought to satisfy, Connectwise Control exceeded my needs by also including agents I can install for any-time access. With this, I am able to additionally help support businesses too small to afford my day-time employer (which places them outside their target market). These small businesses otherwise have virtually no options and without Connectwise Control I wouldn't be able to help them.
  • Blocking Input and Screen: this is a feature I have not seen often in other services and I've found it useful far more often than I thought I would. Specifically, one time I used it to stop a curious cat from sending spurious keyboard presses as it tried to catch the mouse cursor.
  • Clipboard Syncing: In my experience, this appears to be a challenging task to get working correctly in remote sessions. Connectwise Control has been flawless in this regard - it's extremely frustrating when clipboard syncing is inconsistent.
  • Interface: I find some interfaces really need to be taught, others to be nonsensical, and still others to lack functionality. Connectwise Control doesn't fit these - I found it very intuitive from the start and feature-rich while still being compact.
  • At this time, I have no complaints. Any features I might want at this time are just in a higher tier that I am not currently paying for. I used the trial period to fully explore the available features and am satisfied with the tier I am on.
  • Connectwise Control for me has been the difference between business and no business. I don't find free solutions to be intuitive enough and Connectwise Control fits my budget.
I find Connectwise Control combines features I liked in Kaseya and GoToAssist at an affordable price point with a better interface. There are things I like and things I find lacking in each, but I find only the features I liked in Connectwise Control: the ability to install agents, seamless input integration, good video scaling, session invites via link with simple "run to join," and a host of toolbar functions. Everything being cloud-hosted is then a plus on top of that.

I really don't see TeamViewer as an option in comparison due to what I see as a rather cumbersome client for users.
I only have experience using ConnectWise Control in 2 scenarios: technical support and remote access.

1) I send session invite links for people in need of technical assistance regularly. Most recently was to help someone configure their router and software firewall in order to host a game from their computer.

2) I use Connectwise Control to access my home workstation and a server from my phone regularly. Useful when I need a document from home and need to move it to my Google Drive or Dropbox.
