Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
We had previously been using TeamViewer to log into a remote machine at some of our smaller offices. This worked ok but was expensive for the license. ConnectWise, in my opinion, is more hassle-free and better designed and had a more attractive price point.
- Reconnects session after remote machine reboot, never have had a connection loss in general.
- The session settings are well laid out for messaging, not taking, blacking out the remote screen for confidential tasks etc.
- Easy web console to send remote clients to new machines
- It automatically installs remote duplicate print drivers, I have had an issue when troubleshooting a remote print driver because it was duplicated.
- Positive efficiency- No longer have to call and ask people if I can jump on their machine, message and go.
- I used to keep separate notes and sometimes not be able to find them, now I have the notes and machine specs without having to look for them as soon as I log into the particular machine.
I have only used the personal version of TeamViewer. However, when looking for a professional product, I did consider them. The price versus the features compared with ConnectWise Control seemed not good. I think I get more for my money with Connectwise.
