Finding names of prospects to generate leads in sales territories for equipment.
  • Easy to use - create a list with specific criteria
  • Easy to search for company and contact names to verify contact info
  • Easy to manage the lists and view them quickly on a personal dashboard
  • Navigation - moving back and forth from contacts and list needs improvement
  • Intent to buy lists - not as accurate or abundant as hoped for
  • Does not show as many email and phone numbers for contacts as the competition
  • we have spent a lot of time making 60+ lists and looking up thousands of companies/contacts
  • We have made hundreds of phone calls and sent monthly emails, but not much success yet
  • We are still waiting to see leads close to justify the ROI to renew or not later in the year
  • Verifying hundreds of companies and their locations has been great
The company data is great from D&B Hoovers, and searching by location and SIC codes has been great for building lists. But the accuracy of the contacts has been lacking with a smaller percentage of them being accurate with cell and email addresses. Though the company phone number is pretty accurate.
Not the most accurate contact data, compared to the competition like Zoomingo. After many phone calls and emails, we have reached some people, but most (over 55%) are not accurate or updated.
The competition may be more accurate with contact info, but D&B Hoovers is good for verifying company info, searching for companies, and building lists based on location, SIC code, and company size.

Good system for an affordable price vs the competition. It does find some good D&B Hoovers info on companies and can verify accounts, but the contact info is not as updated and accurate as the competition. Looking up companies - is the best solution.

Evaluating D&B Hoovers and Competitors

Yes - Zoominfo was replaced because D&B Hoovers is a more affordable solution and the company info for verification of address and other data is very useful.
