Overall Satisfaction with DemandTools
We use demand tools on a daily basis. We are duplicating our contact records based on set rigid or loose scenarios. Only the CRM department is using this tool. We find it to be very easy to use once you get to know how to use it. The UI can look a bit old school but it works well. It addresses the problem of duplication of records in our system.
- It can run automatically over night.
- It is much more feature packed then standard salesforce de-duping.
- We enjoy the ability to grab large amounts of records with this tool.
- The UI could be different, as it is older looking.
- More tutorial videos for newer users.
- Being able to dedup data on a mass scale.
- Cleaning up and merging large amounts of data.
- Working with custom objects even though it takes much longer.
- API calls are used when working with custom objects.
Standard salesforce de-duping does not have enough function to perform the things we need.

The ability to de-dup mass amounts of records in our system. This was the most important factor as without the bulk features we would not have the ability to see de-duping on a scale that we need. We also enjoy the built in fuzzy matching logic that demand tools provides.

Change management was minimal - Demand tools does not install into salesforce so there was no issue with that. We just need to to understand the proper permissions when starting up the tool

No - It is not in the budget and we do not have enough issues with demand tools to justify a purchase of premium support.
When we first got the tool we had a 1:1 call with a support agent to walk us through all the features and function of the tool. We were not just left alone to figure out the tool ourselves. We still refer back to this recorded meeting today to see how things are done in demand tools if we have a problem.
