Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We currently use Deputy primarily as a timesheet and roster management program. All team members across the company use it to login on a daily basis, to view their shifts, and to submit leave requests.
  • Shift notifications and communication
  • Mobile access to rosters and leave management
  • Better testing of updates before implementation
  • More focus on functionality over aesthetics
  • More flexibility in background settings
  • The management of our rosters has definitely improved.
  • The time wasted trying to work around problems caused when updates are released, and then often lack of satisfactory resolution, is definitely a big negative.
We selected Deputy due to it's ability to manage multi locations and multi departments in an affordable model.
However, we have been researching alternative programs due to the problems caused by the last couple of updates and lack of support to fix them.

It is very usable in many aspects, but it's usability and support has decreased since we signed up!
Deputy has been the best platform we could find to suit the rostering needs of a multi location and multi department business.

However, we have found that when implementing updates to the program more focus needs to be given to the functionality and business/legal requirements of those updates (eg it should improve and not decrease), and less focus on aesthetics and "cool stuff"! With that in mind, the Deputy support team also needs to be better prepared to solve issues created when these updates are rolled out in a prompt fashion. It should not take days and days of no response for urgent issues to be addressed.
