Overall Satisfaction with Deputy
We use it to schedule our staff at over 60 locations, so they can keep track of where and when they are required. They use it to check in and out shifts so managers can instantly see when staff are working or when they haven't arrived. This also helps us work out our payroll for each member of staff and streamlines this process. We also offer available shifts to all staff through Deputy.

We found other products were overcomplicated and staff struggled to interact with it. We wanted a simple app that would notify staff of a schedule, remind them to clock in and out, and then also inform us of availability. Other apps seemed to overcomplicate this and staff struggled to navigate their way through it. Our staff regularly tell us they check the app every night to know what is coming up for them over the next 48 hours.

Our staff has never come to us saying they needed teaching on how to use the app, whereas other apps we have tried we experienced that staff struggled to navigate their way around to see a schedule, process timesheets, and let us know their availability. It quickly allows us to see days where we may need to outsource to cover requirements.
It was easy to distribute links to get staff to sign up. There didn't seem to be the option to choose what staff had to input to sign up. It seemed to be up to the member of staff which was disappointing. But other than [that], staff didn't have a problem so it was great to implement and staff used it straight away.
Deputy is well suited if you have several locations you need to keep track of, specifically if you have staff who work at more than one location. It's easy to keep track of staff, where they are, how much they have worked, and their availability. If you have staff who aren't very technologically savvy they may struggle to understand it, also have had some staff unable to use due to their own personal data allowance on their phone, which we've found checking in and out of a venue using GPS drains this quickly.
