Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use Dropbox for keeping all my of my video data stored. I go through around a terabyte of data each month with 4k video files. It made it so simple for me and anyone working with me to quickly access all footage at a moments notice. Also it was amazing for sending videos to clients.
  • Synchronizing data
  • Easy sharing with clients
  • Backups
  • Changing their entire business model at a moments notice
  • Not following up with customers through support in my opinion
  • Completely voiding the original agreement made when I signed up in my experience
  • I originally thought and believed I had a reliable platform through Dropbox. I believe that's completely changed with their new model.
  • I will be spending the next several months downloading all of my data once again and finding a new platform.
  • Dropbox now brings far more frustration to my business than it does help in my opinion.
Dropbox used to be my go-to solution. I recommended it to everyone. It provided more storage options for professionals, which is why I stopped using Google Drive. However, in my opinion, that is no longer the case. I will now be moving to a NAS storage service, as I know for a fact the storage options that I pay for, will remain exactly as I have paid for them in my opinion.

Would you buy Dropbox again?

No

Dropbox used to be great for professionals who needed to store lots of data. However, after I had signed up for an entire year of Dropbox Unlimited, they suddenly changed their business mode and went from unlimited data which is what I had paid for, to only 15tb. 15tb as a video professional is almost nothing, and I can easily purchase 15tb of storage for far less than what I paid to Dropbox. I would say Dropbox is no longer useful to video professionals in my opinion.
