Use Cases and Deployment Scope

GoodData is our chosen embedded BI solution within our browser and mobile sales execution management application. We selected GoodData because it's ability to house a huge amount of data / data sets and support complex filters and metrics. Although it takes a bit of a learning curve to build reports in GoodData our end-users have found its quite easy to use just navigating through the data via filters.

Our GoodData analytics brings insights and visibility into sales execution management within the 3-tier beverage alcohol community. Through its platform our customers can analyze which field sales activities are moving the needle when coupled with sales volume data.

Usability

Because it works well, is complex and robust. However, being complex and robust is also what makes it hard to train resources on it and train customers on how to manage their own GD reports.

Implementation

We've been working with GD reports for the better part of the last 13 years so we can get up and running pretty quickly these days. In the beginning I'm sure there was a lag in getting up to speed.

Self-Service Analytics

iFrame is critical for us so we can embed it into our browser and mobile applications.
Visually dynamic reports are also a must too in our field.

Tableau Desktop, Microsoft Power BI, TARGIT, Qlik Analytics Platform and Salesforce Einstein Bots

GoodData can handle the large data sets without the use of a Data Warehouse. But it is expensive compared to its competitors. We also use and like Power BI and TARGIT dashboards as well.

Likelihood to Recommend

Looking at GoodData reports through a browser UI is great - mobile is a bit of a struggle getting enough value out of a report with limited mobile retail space for filters, etc.
