Overall Satisfaction with Heap

Our use case is to understand how customers use our web platform, so the scope is only one site address. This helps us understand what events are happening most often, what features are being used, and how we can address gaps. Typically I gravitate towards event analysis only, but other team members do more advanced analytics as well.
  • Easy to understand UI.
  • Easy to go deeper and more complex.
  • Doesn't integrate well with iOS apps.
We currently use Domo, Heap, and Amplitude. We chose to keep Heap because it is user-friendly and easy to learn. We need the rest to make it a bit easier to analyze and create more powerful charts.

It's great for our web application. It's easy for design and products to go in and add tracking themselves without having to ask an engineer, data engineer, or anyone else for help. It's not well suited for our iOS app, so we had to implement custom events there, which took more engineering time and bandwidth than we wanted or anticipated, unfortunately.
