Overall Satisfaction with LastPass

It is used by me, personally for my own accounts, and it is used across the organization/between members of the organization to store passwords for accounts that require shared access (e.g. social media, web development, certain email accounts, etc.). The autofill settings are also a great time-saver.
  • Stores a large number of passwords
  • Alerts you when the same password is used for multiple accounts
  • Extension works well
  • Really only works well with Chrome
  • Paid subscription required to manage a larger number of accounts
  • Changed passwords sometimes need to be updated directly
  • Saves time
  • Allows account access across the organization
  • Very cost-efficient
Other than Chrome and other password managers that are linked to specific browsers or operating systems, LastPass has been my only go-to for password management. It’s kind of a “software essential.”
Even the unpaid subscription is great for managing personal accounts and creating autofill settings. It has a lot more field options than Google password/autofill manager. However, I am a bit wary about storing my credit card information in LastPass.
