Overall Satisfaction with LinkedIn Marketing Solutions
We use LinkedIn Marketing Solutions on my team of data analysts and media buyers. We have a combination of consumer and B2B brands that we recommend and execute digital advertising strategies for. We use Linkedin and a strong option for brands looking to make B2B communications. Our media buyers set up and run marketing plans on LinkedIn, occasionally with the help of our LI agency rep. I specifically spend most of my time pulling reporting and performance information from the platform.
Pros
- Excellent targeting capabilities.
- LinkedIn reps have been very responsive when we reach out for help.
- LinkedIn has generated some of our best ROAS for B2B campaigns.
Cons
- The UI is still a bit clunky, especially compared to other social platforms.
- Organic reporting could definitely improve. Exporting organic data is a huge hassle.
- Reporting customization is fairly limited.
- Cost efficient ROAS for lead generation compared to other social platforms targeted at professionals.
- The addition of their new awareness/reach objective has also provided a lower cost option for using LI advertising.
When trying to reach professionals while maintaining a self-serve ad set up process and minimizing costs, LinkedIn can't be beat. We consistently see lower CPMs and CPAs for LI ads compared to going to independent professional sites for native advertising. Also, when driving professional traffic to client websites, traffic from LinkedIn is consistently staying longer, browsing more site pages, and are less likely to bounce compared to other social media campaigns' traffic.
