Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Mailchimp as an email marketing tool to send my email blasts to my customers. I also recommend and implement this for my clients as a way for them to market to their customers via email. It enables them to manage their customer lists and build and schedule their email blasts without the need for development.

Offers Simple Templates for Clients that need them.
Fair pricing.
Good amount of features even with the free offering.

Easier implementation of forms - ie wordpress plugin availability and connection.

Return on Investment

Enables my business to extend my offerings beyond development and design.
Enables my clients to manage their marketing on their own opening up additional budget for other projects.

Alternatives Considered

Campaign Monitor

I'd say they are pretty even for the most part. Mailchimp does work better for my smaller clients.

Likelihood to Recommend

For smaller businesses which is the majority of my client base, this is an easy transition into a more robust email marketing campaign. It does not require a high level of technical knowledge but also provides extended features for those that are more skilled with code. The connection between their site forms and the mailing lists makes it much easier to manage customer lists.
