Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
Mailchimp is one of our main outbound marketing channels. We use it to send a weekly newsletter out about goings-on at our company to over 3500 people. It solves the problem of updating all customers on new features and products at our company as we have a very large customer base so it means we can reach out at scale.

Mailchimp is easier to use but ActiveCampaign has CRM features and automation features that far outstrip Mailchimp, but it's another level of difficulty to learn compared to how easy Mailchimp is. Mailchimp holds it on against it though because of how easy it is to set up and execute a send out.
We never integrated it with anything else. It was solely for sending out a weekly newsletter to the customer base.
Success: Turning customers into repeat customers and awakening dormant customers. Building a content library of articles from the newsletters and it acting as a PR function for our industry dailies. Lesson: Segment from the start and it will pay dividends later on.
