Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

We are using Microsoft Teams across the whole organization—still in a transition process from Skype for Business, which is being decommissioned. Teams is helping to share content with team members and is centralizing the information discussed in one place. I'd dare to say that it replaces email and simplifies the communication process, especially for project discussions. By consequence, this solution brings a productivity increase, which is valuable for us.
  • Teams is more friendly and goes beyond a simple messaging tool, allowing group creation that persists all messages to the cloud, like a discussion forum. This helps a team be a lot more organized.
  • The chat window can be customized by adding some add-ins. One I particularly use is Freehand by InVision which allows us to create a collaborative environment, where two or more people can express ideas live by sketching on the screen (perfect for brainstorming and explanations).
  • Another cool thing is the GIF icon that searches all kind of GIFs to be sent to your peers! This brings more relaxation to a busy day.
  • The only thing I really dislike is the notifications. I can set up to receive banner notifications, but it's not like Skype for Business which sends only the first notification and then stops and blinks the icon only in the taskbar.
  • Banner for all messages is really bad when you don't want other people around to see a preview of all messages that are being sent to you.
  • Sharing screen quality is not as good as Skype for Business. It looks like it's slow and I think there's room to improve this.
  • Increasing productivity of the employees and time savings.
  • Increasing the quality of the service outsourced.
  • Costs reductions by eliminating travel, as the meetings can happen online with so many features that the tool offers.
Microsoft Teams is the evolution of Microsoft Skype for Business as it is now 100% connected to the cloud. It helps to create a collaborative environment and supports integration with external add-ins within the Microsoft Office 365 suite. The reason why we are migrating to Microsoft Teams is that we are approaching the end of support for Skype for Business and because of all the features it presents.
Microsoft Teams is well suited for online collaboration and new projects coming up in the organization. It could help to do an online Kaizen and review processes. Basic communication, of course, inside the organization is something that Teams does very well. But it's more than that. It goes beyond simple messaging too. You can keep discussion forums and share documents with the group that will be persisted to the cloud and you can see them from your computer, smartphone or another device with access to a web browser. Microsoft Teams is less appropriate for formal communications.
