Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as a destination to collect, collaborate, refine, and synthesize as a team. The expansive layout and many apps allow us to facilitate both internal and client-facing collaboration in an authentic, flexible manner. We use Miro for team bonding exercises, brainstorming sessions, retrospectives, and prioritization sessions. Whenever we need to gather ideas, feedback, and priorities from a large group we tend to leverage Miro.
  • Plenty of space
  • Flexible format
  • Templates to accelerate setup
  • Toggling between selection and navigation
  • Users often move tiles when they're trying to click in to edit an item
  • Miro has enabled virtual collaboration sessions that would have required 40+ participants who live from 15 to 300 miles away
Absolutely. We have a client whose team is spread out across the state. They have cost savings measures to reduce their commute time where possible. Still we were able to have complex technical discussions leveraging Miro as a collaboration tool.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Appropriate for large groups where we want simultaneous collaboration. Miro is better than in-person whiteboard sessions since it's easier to have many people pile on their inputs in close proximity on the canvas.

Use caution when working with a large group that hasn't had experience with Miro. It can be daunting to use the first couple times, and hard to catch when someone is overwhelmed, needing access, etc. Either plan for plenty of time to do a warm-up exercise and troubleshooting, or go with something with a simpler interface.
