Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is a great tool for collaborating with colleagues located all over the world. We use it to both scopes out project visions and to conduct agile ceremonies in order to be able to improve continuously. It is a great tool for gathering insights from all the people involved in the project, especially the quieter team members who are more hesitant to share their opinion verbally. It is also great for intuitively brainstorming and visualizing your ideas.
Pros
- Diagrams
- User story mappings.
- Brainstorming
- Agile ceremonies.
- Enabling agile teams.
- Icebreaking activities
- Games
Cons
- More templates
- video explanations of how to use templates.
- More AI
- Productivity
- Offers a wide range of features that can reduce the need for other tools.
For me the feature that has impacted my work most are the templates, these extremely useful when designing workshops either to help save time when creating them or also to help spur my own creativity. I also often use the brainstorming/ diagramming capabilities, the flexibility to be able to move, duplicate, edit or delete components individually or all together brings a great advantage over a traditional whiteboard, Adding the ai features in here as well really help to boost productivity
Miro is a fantastic collaboration tool that has completely transformed the way our remote teams work. It allows everyone to bring their ideas and opinions to the table during retrospectives and to be heard equally rather than just whoever has the loudest voice in the room. Another way Miro has transformed our ways of working is during process creation, the diagramming capabilities make it easy to build out and iterate upon ideas and share them with team members and leaders for their insight without even needing to speak to the other person.
Miro is leaps and bounds ahead of One note in terms of functionality, useability and collaboration. OneNote can be useful for taking basic notes or working on something individually but i would never use for anything visual or collaborative.
Zoom offers functionality that is similar to Miro and also offers good collaborative features, however the user experience is miles behind Miro. In my experience it was laggy and could not handle larger whiteboards, the features are also not as intuitive
