Overall Satisfaction with Miro
In most cases we use Miro to visualize, build and share empathy. At this time at least 60% of the people on the board are remote from the office, while the others may be at the office but remoting in from their desk. Miro allow us to not only convene and think in one space, but at all hours. The biggest value of Miro boards is their flexibility and foreverness. I have yet to create too big of a board and have yet to see one that I have had to delete. This is a huge cultural change from whiteboards that had to be erased or sticky notes stuck to paper and rolled up...never to ever be unrolled again. The only ask is that as I personally have developed nearly 1,000 boards, I find it it difficult to file/save my boards in a organized manner with the 2 tier system. If I am able to continue to build folders within folders, this would keep my side bar small and better organized. Regardless, the search function works great and allows me to search both titles and content.
- Allows members and visitors to work on one board at the same time
- opens in both the app and browser
- has features that allow for integrations
- boundless expansion
- share the same view with follow me
- Filing. Saving and organizing needs to go deeper than 2 tiers. Endless folders within a folder would be helpful
- Large content boards with lots of activity seem to bog down and sometimes causes freezing and app crashing
- Beta apps are visible and not usable and serve no purpose
- initial scaling. scaling seems to depend on the opening zoom scale and size of the initial sticky. Default of scale and size of the initial sticky should be locked in to allow users to zoom in/out of the project
- many of the shortcuts are unique to Miro and not intuitive requiring the user to memorize unique shortcuts.
- Gather together into one space
- allows for working alone together
- ability retrieve, review and update boards with no expiration is the biggest game changer of all.
Uniting teams onto a single board is Miro's second biggest strength, and if done correctly the collaboration can be done at all hours around the clock around the globe. This is especially true for cross-functional teams who do not share the same time zone or work cultures. One board for all, all on one board.
Altho Miro does not have key functionality against some of the apps that are on the market, in the end it is an amazing virtual whiteboard with additional capability. The continued enhancements and ongoing surveys that seek user feedback is proof that it is moving towards a more integrated and immersive experience that has the potential of replacing some of your other apps.
