Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

I use it for financial reporting. The system allows more visibility for more users than our prior system. The scope of my use case is to have more usable information quickly for management to be able to make quick decisions.

  • Ability to change the GL Header/Line level information. We track at the project/task level and that has to be customized
  • Allowing for credits to back revenue out when the charge is based on actual
  • Support at the Accounting Level
  • The implementation cost much more than expected
  • We have to implement OpenAir in order for the system to do the things that it was originally intended to do. An additional cost.
NetSuite was selected as it was stated to be able to account at the task level. Our company manages financial information at the task level.

There are some great things and some things that really cause inefficiencies for accountants. We have had to write scripts in order to reduce redundancy as it seems to struggle with accounting financially at the task level.
Very responsive and generally resolve issue quickly. When not resolved, it is in the developers hands quickly to get it fixed.
NetSuite ERP is well suited when you track information at the customer level and not the project level. Having multiple programs within the same customer causes issues for financial tracking.
