Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

I use the system in a financial capacity running financial reports for internal and external users. In addition I manage the costing process for the company and maintain fixed assets and budgets.
Business problems the product addresses are easily run reports and customize as needed to get the data that is needed.
  • Journal Entries
  • Breakdown of detail in each transaction
  • Ability to add fields to help increase available data
  • Reporting - we have multiple classes where we would like to allocate indirect expenses.
  • Tax reporting. Suite Tax is limited so a 3rd party is involved
  • The use of 3rd party options tends to be overwhelming.
  • Upgrades are a big help, always new features coming
  • Cost of the software is pretty high
  • Ability to log in from anywhere.
NetSuite is a good source of information and holds its own with the other ERP systems I have used. There are some advantages and some disadvantages, but being able to grow our company using NetSuite has been very helpful and we will continue to use the software and implement as more options come up.

Yes

  • Usability is good. Easy to navigate through the system and get to the modules that are needed. Can setup searches and get quick access to different modules through a quick save rather than finding them through the module. Would say the process of usability is one item that i like on the software.
Scenarios where NetSuite works well is in the ease of transaction data flowing into the financials. The ability to set up multiple classes, departments, locations, and accounts and then get the data into where we need it is important.
Less appropriate would be the reporting functionality. Great for basic reports to see a company overview, but when you need to break down to other classes the reports are lacking.
