Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

This is where Outreach falls flat in my opinion. It's a great tool, powerful in the right hands... but our biggest hurdle at Pluralsight is helping employees understand how to onboard and set up sequences. The tool is not intuitive and straightforward, but rather convoluted and difficult to navigate for the new user. BUT when it works and you've spent time in the tool - it's fantastic!
It's currently being used across the whole sales organization. We use it for strategic hunting and email campaigns. It keeps our messaging fresh and allows us to stay on top of the onslaught of email. At any given time I have about 10 different campaigns running to current clients and prospects. I'm a huge fan!
  • Automation of prescribed campaigns
  • Showing client's interactions and response
  • Ability to crowdsource campaigns that have worked well across our organization
  • I've spent years in custom software development and UI is tough to do well. I think Outreach's biggest struggle is that the UI is not intuitive. It's clunky and seems like it was designed by developers rather than UI/UX designers. When I notice the buttons /navigation, then I think the design has failed.
  • The email editor does not work on the Mac Platform. I have to edit all my emails in a word editor and then copy and paste them into Outreach.
  • Certain settings and preferences are buried deep.. again, I think Outreach would benefit from a fresh UI update.
  • Increased meetings!! This is a fantastic tool for reaching out to new prospects.
  • We use it heavily to renew current client contracts and remind them to sign new contracts. It's a perfect email babysitter to remind clients of next steps.
I have never used an alternative to Outreach and I haven't gone looking for any other solutions. Outreach works well for me.
Outreach shines when used to hunt prospects via email campaigns. I use it extensively to import contracts and contact people in companies we're trying to partner with. I love that I can write a sequence and "set it and forget it". It's the ultimate babysitter when I don't have enough bandwidth to keep up with email.
