Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for all the basic things like payroll and HR, as well as data analytics, expense reporting, compliance reporting, compliance education, onboarding, time and labor tracking, benefits administration, and flexible spending plans. The biggest business challenge that Paylocity addresses is the efficiency of our HR staff. Paylocity's Integrations with other systems and self-service features save remarkable amounts of time. For example, we have a 360 data feed with our 401k record keeper that makes for error-free, timely transactions, and our benefits portal is fully integrated with benefits carriers so that all demographic changes made through self-service also flow to the carriers.
  • Data Integration.
  • Intuitive look and feel- easy to use.
  • Customer service.
  • California Compliance.
  • Data Insights.
  • ATS that comes with the suite is not as good as other systems- very primitive.
  • Performance Management tool is also outdated.
  • Reduced errors.
  • Most transactions are self-service now.
  • full data Integrations reduce errors and time spent.
A great example of automation is the Onboarding module. Instead of HR spending an hour going over tedious new hire paperwork with a new hire, this is all done via self-service so that the HR person can spend quality time on their first day orientating them to the company culture and people, not paperwork.
We have not used the Impressions tools in a while, mainly because our users spend a lot more time on Microsoft products. Consequently, Teams channels have replaced this part of Paylocity, but when it did not have Teams, it was a nice place for peer recognition and announcements. Likewise, SharePoint is where most videos and such live.
Paycom was not as sophisticated and did not meet our needs. UKG was still way too overly complicated and not user-friendly. ADP did not provide the customer support we needed.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Paylocity is great for companies who are just getting past that 100+ employee mark, and it is no longer saleable to do things without automation. It can be a one-stop shop for many applications rolled into one. Paylocity is also great for companies that rely heavily on data integration between systems because they truly do integrate with so many systems, big and small- insurance carriers, applicant tracking systems, 401k providers, survey systems, you name it. Once you get past the 500-employee mark, I can see where you might start to outgrow this system because there are limitations.
