Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity to store HR employee records, Payroll, Recruitment, and Learning. We are able to have multiple companies housed within this account. This eliminated several different payroll systems and reduced the redundancy of data entry. We have been able to also track our off site crew's time entries more accurately. Using their mobile app, the employee can clock in and we can verify with GPS where their time entry was located.
  • The UI is always improving, making it easier to use as an end user.
  • The report writer is great for creating custom reports.
  • The time and labor product is easy to use for both admin and employee.
  • Implementation was more time consuming than expected.
  • Customer support is slow, and all customer service representatives are not experts on their products. They use the same HELP articles we use to solve problems.
  • Fillable forms are not pre-populated with information and are limited to 3 participants for the form.
  • Reduced time for data entry in multiple systems.
  • Allowed for better employee visibility to their time cards and records.
  • Auto reminders for when certifications have expired.
We have been able to spend more time coaching and developing employees, spend more time on employee engagement initiatives, and have more time to be available for employee needs.
Our company does not elect to use these features. What I have seen would be great in the hands of a company that would want to utilize these functions.
Pricing and ease of use were much better with Paylocity.

Very well suited for off-site crews who work in several locations on different days. They are able to transfer between stops with their time punches. Not well suited for a company that does not want to participate in the community/social media aspect of notifications. There is no way to have the Announcement feature without using the Community feature.
