Overall Satisfaction with Procore
We use it for sharing project drawings, organizing submittals and shop drawings, tracking RFI's, tracking daily activities, tracking punch list items, and writing commitments and change orders.
- Keeps everything in one place where all the people involved can go get the most current information.
- Sets due dates so that everything gets done on time.
- Synchronizes with our accounting system so that the non-accounting staff can track costs.
- Bidding tool is very cumbersome to use. Selecting bidders is not as easy as it could be. Getting the correct drawing attachments sent with the invite can be tricky.
- Getting everything to synchronize with our accounting software is not easy, sometimes it doesn't work right.
- Sometimes when you want to export a file, you have to wait for a download link to be emailed to you. You can't just open it up.
Seemed like Procore could do more.
Yes, mostly between office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
- It takes longer to set up. I don't think it has paid for itself due to the high cost of purchasing it. However, we are probably doing a better job of keeping up with changes on projects.
- Gain visibility into projects
- Ensure information is accessible and up to date
- Streamline financial reporting
It gives everyone access to the same drawings whenever they want them. Superintendents can review the commitments and shop drawings whenever they need to. Questions get tracked as RFI's so nothing gets forgotten.
