Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore implementation takes your full company's commitment to implement, train, and utilize. Even when a company may have an established workflow, a commitment is required to fit these SOP's into the Procore environment.
We are currently using Procore as our field management and document control solution. Daily logs and progress photos from the superintendents help the Project Managers keep a pulse on the daily events and productivity. The meetings, specs and submittals, and drawings tools are being built out to help provide better clarity and up to the minute changes across the project. The budget and change order tools provide the financial tracking needed by Project Managers. As a subcontractor in the high rise construction industry, we continue to find many useful opportunities in Procore.
  • Collaboration between the field and the office via mobile devices (apps) and desktop computers (web browser) help provide the common ground needed to keep up with the job and the requirements of our clients.
  • The ability to move items (prime contract, commitments, purchase orders, submittals, etc) through the construction process via approvals and statuses helps provide needed visibility of those items.
  • Procore helps provide the history of the project via daily logs and progress photos.
  • We are currently working with Procore to enhance the reporting and dashboard view opportunities to quickly review needed KPI's.
  • We are currently working with Procore to enhance the task assignment opportunities between team members that don't quite fit into the "out of the box" tools.
Procore has more robust features and a cleaner interface, which it turns makes it easier to implement.
We have benefited from the collaboration portion of Procore and continue to improve upon our workflow each day.
  • The intent of Procore is second to none. The implementation of Procore can be challenging, as a company must first spend time learning the program, mapping out their workflow, and then training for this workflow.
  • The ROI for Procore is best realized over time, as some tools are easy to pick up and implement (daily log, photos) while others take time to develop and learn (change events, change orders, payment applications, etc).
  • Gain visibility into projects
  • Ensure information is accessible and up to date
  • Report on incidents and inspections
  • Streamline financial reporting
The daily logs and photos help provide the visibility to the progression and understanding of the project on a daily basis. The use of RFI's, Drawings, and Punch List tools can help keep the project moving along on schedule. The observations and checklists can help maintain the needed safety for the project.
Procore is definitely designed for the General Contractor and we find small gaps when applied to the Subcontractor roll. This is more of a reflection of our needs versus the intent of Procore.
