Overall Satisfaction with Procore

It is a great tool but hard to implement without providing employees training. A grace period is needed to get used to it. On top of our own employees, we also have to get the subs to buy in which is significantly more difficult.
It is used across the entire company and it streamlines the day to day tracking and management of our construction which is significantly easier. It compiles Submittals, RFI's and Drawing and Document managed into one system and saves time.
  • Tracking Submittals because it keeps them organized and automatically sends out alerts when a submittal becomes overdue.
  • The Documents tool is excellent for file management and allows multiple parties to share large files back and forth that are too big to be emailed.
  • The Drawings tool allows you to link sketches to drawings and mark them up. Also, it always shows which drawings are current and when and what they were revised with.
  • The Daily Log automatically generates reports for the user.
  • The Punch List tool should be like an Excel sheet and the users should be able to create multiple punch lists in one project or at least be able to filter it by who created the punch list item not just by who the items are assigned to.
  • The Construction Financials tool is very confusing, in my opinion. This could also be because I did not find the Training Videos available to be very helpful.
  • The Submittals tool does not automatically sink with the dates in the Schedule tool.
Bluebeam has a much better mark up and viewing abilities for drawings and submittals and Bim360 has a much better Punch List tool. Other than that Procore does a lot more overall than both of these programs.
I have definitely benefited from these capabilities. I was on projects in the past with thousands of submittals and Procore saved me so much time generating these reports and tracking the status of each individual submittal. Once uploaded, I could also send to anyone on the project, if they were in the directory, any document in Procore.
  • Increase Efficiency
  • Saved Time
  • Helped organization
  • Ensure information is accessible and up to date
  • Document job site conditions
  • Report on incidents and inspections
  • Track cost impacts from the field
  • Streamline financial reporting
  • Simplify employee time tracking
Daily Log, Submittals, RFI's, Drawings and Documents have been the most used tools.
It is not very useful for tracking projects from the very beginning of the planning stage all the way through construction because all the progress drawings could confuse subcontractors trying to build off of Procore in the field.
