Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I currently work in the information security & compliance department of Digital Insight and we utilize QuickBase as a repository and tracking tool for various audit engagement, project management, and senior leadership reporting.

Pros and Cons

Secured mechanism to share sensitive data with business partners.
Automated reporting provide convenience for users.
Customized interfaces for role base access.

Table relationships: I'd like to be able to generate a many to many relationship.
Copy table functionality: I'd love to be able to just copy an existing table within the same app and modify/customize thereafter.

Ease of Building Custom Applications

Various divisions of my company utilize the tool in all those three areas noted in the inquiry. It is a significant tool to manage various processes and projects. Our product development teams utilize the tool to track their SDLC processes and archive artifacts. The project management organization department utilizes it to track various solution projects to report to senior management. The security & compliance team utilizes the tool to monitor, track engagements and archive artifacts.

Ease of Updating Applications

I create and update a QuickBase app frequently for compliance audit engagements. I find the application to be user-friendly. I am fairly new to navigating, modifying and creating apps. The help functionality is a significant resource for guidance that I utilize frequently.

Likelihood to Recommend

The tool is perfect for purposes of sharing data [with] both internal and external business partners. The customization to limit access/view to specified defined roles provides flexibility to users. As a repository, it is a great place to archive documentation. Certain scenarios where it is not appropriate are to document sensitive materials (PII data) where encrypted formatting is required.
