Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
As an accountant for full service accounting and payroll processing for client companies. I am the owner of the company records and handle all aspects of the accounting and reporting process.
- Batch entry
- Bank imports
- Ability to access and adjust all areas in the system as needed
- Too many logins for security and validation
- Batch prevailing wage reporting - all active jobs in a week in one pass instead of one job at a time.
- Customer support access is a drag - the process is not as slick on this end as it may be for Intuit.
- Ease of training
- Centralized the accounting process for us.
- Predictable cost for all businesses vs variable cost to run the same accounts online with less flexibility or access.
It has been predictable with good annual updates
It was easy to install, relatively easy to learn and train. Some of the more flashy updates have been less so such as fixed asset management and inventory tracking are far less intuitive. Additionally, the merchant services piece has been so unreliable we don't use the import feature any longer.
It hasn't by itself. There are no reports for ratios or financial analysis so we have to do that manually.
Significantly better in every way except having a cloud access system that does not require a hosting service.
