Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT
Currently we use Raiser's Edge NXT within our Philanthropy Department and on the road. Our senior level staff also have access but we are still coaching them on using it frequently. We do not have to do so much printing of donor history before a visit with NXT. More functions to update bio information would be helpful.
Pros
- Searching for constituents is easy and much faster than the classic view.
- The gift panel gives a quick at a glance view and neat summary of an entire constituent's giving history and then also allows you to easily access the details.
- The work center has been the best addition for a fundraiser. It is easier to see your next tasks and also provides you some tips of things you may have missed with donors by using the tags.
Cons
- Not able to update a constituent's address when out in the field.
- Securities for gift view in lists does not translate to users on NXT if set up in the classic as they are unable to see gifts.
- Operational Efficiency
- Increased revenue from new donors
- Increased revenue from existing donors
- Reduced IT expenditure due to cloud deployment
- Increased scalability due to cloud deployment
We did increase our subscription costs but in our first year of use we have not seen the ROI yet. Operationally we have not decreased our backend tasks but we have only been active on RE NXT for 9 months and have had staff turnover.
We have benefited greatly from the Learn Everything subscription and our entire team has gone through and received their fundamentals certification.
