Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Intacct is currently being used by our business and financial affairs team to provide ad-hoc reporting and budget transparency. It helps provide valuable reports and up-to-date information with their budgeting and custom reports function. Intacct is mainly used by our business team and in-house tech team.
  • Custom reports have a high level of customization.
  • The strong paper trail that complies with GAAP.
  • Partnership with AMEX ACH to implement an AP system with checks and direct deposit.
  • Having the ability to create views on some of the pages that don't have them (example: posted payments).
  • Reversing payments/invoices is a tedious process.
  • Intacct should allow you to choose which adjustments to apply to which bills in the "Pay Bills" screen.
  • Reduced month-end closing time by 30%
  • Cleaner budgets
  • Unable to deliver proper dashboards to team leads; time-consuming + expensive.
Automation of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order management has been beneficial in helping us reduce our month end close time. The greatest help is the ability to customize views/filter results, allowing us to more efficiently reconcile accounts.
Have not used before.
Intacct has been helpful, but implementing Intacct and learning all of the new functions/requirements has been a huge learning curve. Intacct support has also been inconsistent with their guidance and direction the few times I've reached out. Amex ACH function works, but we are still having trouble completely integrating it with our website. Problems that are not immediately solved have a very long resolution time.
Sage Intacct was selected as our company is expected to continue growing and outgrow the capabilities of Quickbooks. Sage Intacct has a lot of customization opportunities and automation, which is incredibly beneficial when volume grows, but it has a learning curve and requires a lot of implementation guidance.
I believe Sage Intacct is helpful when a company outgrows simpler accounting systems or when the volume becomes too great. The direct deposit function and check delivery partnership with Amex is helpful in our industry where we have a massive volume of quarterly bill payments. The majority of Intacct's functions would be less beneficial if the company is at a smaller scale and does not plan on advancing past it.
