Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Intacct is our main cloud ERP. We switched to it because it was one of two accounting suites supported by our operational platform. Intacct is passable at best. The reporting functionality is poor, and the customer does not own the data (We don't even get a SQL backup). I would not recommend this software to any company that has a high transaction volume.

Cash payments can be in advances or in posted payments, or in other receipts. There should be one uniform place to find it. There should be a native cash uploader; we had to pay extra to a third party company to build a poor quality add on to get this basic functionality. Overall, Intacct is fine but just know that you will be upsold on everything. If you have a business problem, you will need to pay extra to get that resolved.

It's usable but not useful. To give the designers credit, 80% of the functionality is intuitive. However, since it is missing basic functionality like cash uploads or automatic applications, it is hard to give Intacct a good review. Another area is SQL backup. Unfortunately, the reporting in Intacct is bizarrely complex, and providing companies a SQL backup of their data would go a long way.
Beyond the forum, support is non-existent. We first had to go to our implementation partner to resolve issues and they were quite unhelpful. Support for Sage Intacct seems to have been outsourced to the "community," I have posted questions there only for their support team to reach out months later with an unhelpful response.

No

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Automation costs extra, Intacct is like spirit airlines. We used a third-party provider to develop a cash upload template. We have not really used any other automation tools as they cost too much money for what they deliver. When I went to the user conference, it was clear that all additional functionality cost extra and sometimes still did not function.
Not involved in the search process. We migrated from MS great plains and QuickBooks.
Small companies that are too big for quickbooks. I would not recommend Intacct to any company that has a high transaction volume or has complexity in their accounting. The dashboard functionality is quite nice, however it is too hard to set them up and they are not easily customizable.
