Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct to maintain the accounting for our operations. While we utilize other platforms all of the AR/AP, period, fiscal flows into Sage Intacct. The system allows for all of AR/AP to be in a centralized location with attachments. The option to add customized fields allows for better organization. However the bill approval process is lacking in customization and is limited. This is a problem with dimensional accounting.
- Applying vendor deposits against bills and accounting for it correctly
- applying intercompany credits against customers accounts
- processing 1099 forms
- Bill approval process lacks customization as it is limited to 3 types of approval policies, 2 of which are the same except one includes value. Once turned on it allows to all vendor bill across the board with not being able to limit by vendor or location
- PO approval process could be easier to setup, the is no option to import the GL item groups so mapping has to be done individually and depending on the number of items can take a long time in each transaction type
- Unable to edit voided transactions, so if a bill is reversed in 2022 and payment voided in 2023 the bank reconciliation will be off until 2023. There is no way to correct this
- By filtering in the pay bills section by bill date and credit note date we saved 3.5 hours of labor per week
- The bill approval policies was put on hold as bills with line items going to different departments but same location cannot be entered - big negative impact
- Having the information centralized for managers to review on a dashboard setting makes the communication and flow of information easier
Yes we have from the general ledger specifically regarding the intercompany transactions. The option for the inline credits to be applied against customer's accounts who are under different entities is an ease. Then the intercompany transactions post behind the scenes. The accounts payable bill upload has also saved some time however I wish the analysis time was greatly reduced
We have used consolidations which works great. I would like to add expense management, amortization/prepaid feature which I think should come standard as it just reads a preset table to create future entries and track the progress. The add-ons are great but they cost more and some of the simple features like prepaid schedules should be included
Sage Intacct is better than Xero, Quickbooks, and SAP. While Netsuite has more customization options it is harder to learn quickly. For large teams Sage Intacct is the way to go. NetSuite is great but without a coach to walk the team through where to go and how to setup it can be time consuming
