Overall Satisfaction with SeekOut

Japan is a very candidate short market. The shrinking, aging population coupled with the fact that less than 5% of Japanese nationals have working English skills finding candidates is tough. Additionally, LinkedIn is not very popular here, and recruitment agency costs are some of the highest in the world at 30-40% of the annual salary.


  • Consolidates profiles from all over the net
  • Often finds contact info for hard to find candidates
  • Has great tools for diversity-based hiring


  • Connectivity to LinkedIn would be great. Showing candidates I have already saved or approached elsewhere would stop double-work.
  • Contact details are often work emails which are unusable as an internal recruiters.
  • Gender-based recruitment tool is inaccurate most times.
  • Not seeing a strong ROI
  • Easy and fun to use
  • Easier to search for diverse candidates based on Gender
I give it the rating for the following reasons below:
Reps do constant check ins to ensure we are happy with the product.
Reps offer to run follow up trainings so we can optimize using SeekOut.
Reps are quick with communication over email with questions.
Reps are very friendly and nice reps.
I did not personally select SeekOut, nor did my team. It was selected by the global organization. The functions that were sold to us were:
The ability to create projects and save candidates
Access to candidates not on LinkedIn and hidden in other areas of the web.
Contact info for all the candidates hidden from view.
AI tool to help create projects
Diversity recruiting tools.

If your organization only has the budget for one company to license for your recruitment needs, SeekOut is a good tool. However, I fail to see the additional benefits of using SeekOut with other tools like LinkedIn. I have not found much of an added benefit other than the diversity-hiring tool.
