Overall Satisfaction with Slack
Slack sometimes feels like the foundation of our business. It's how we do probably 30-50% of all the communication within our company. We use it for quick communication, file sharing, updates, bug reports, and countless of integrations with all of the other softwares we use to run our business. If slack was gone tomorrow we'd be in serious trouble.
- 1:1 communication
- Group communication
- Backlog of important information
- Search functionality can always be improved (although its already so much better)
- It's too much work to leave a channel with the new update. Way too many clicks
- Warn me before I join or leave a channel if there will be a notice posted
- Improved communication
- Probably increased distraction at work
- Reduced number of meetings needed
I have only used teams a bit but [I feel] the experience within Slack is clearly better than that of teams. It's easier to find teammates, start a quick chat, and overall the experience is just so much cleaner. Teams is not bad it's just that [in my experience] slack is better and better integrated with other softwares.
