Why we choose Splashtop.
Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
I used to use LogMeIn and never had any issues until it came time to renew my license. It went from free to $2k a year. Then from $2k to $5k. I started looking around for another solution. I found Splashtop and started using it at one of our locations. It far outperformed the LogMeIn product and for less money. The client installation is easy. The control panel interface is perfect. Allowing other users to only access a particular PC is great. The Spalshtop product is perfect for our needs and very reasonably priced. I don't see any reason for us to even look at another solution.
Pros
- Unattended remote access
- Copy/Paste
- Ease of use
- Cost per terminal
Cons
- My only wish would be for better "sorting" capability. ie sort by "Last time online"
- As mentioned, it has saved me countless hours of driving.
- Allows me to access and resolve end users' difficulties quickly.
The addition of multi-factor authentication is a nice feature. The fact that you have two log in's in order to gain access to a PC is great.
I started with one location and quickly added the others. I didn't use a support session. It's very easy to get started and to load the client side of the software.
Yes - LogMeIn. I replace them due to rising yearly costs.
