Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

We use Splashtop as it is included with our RMM, Atera. We also have access to AnyDesk, but Splashtop is our primary remote support tool. Splashtop gives us reliable remote access to our endpoints so we can help our end users. We have users all over the county and we need to be able to quickly and easily support them.
  • The overall connection quality seems to be very solid.
  • The interface is easy to use, but also allows for customization.
  • The ability to enable or disable the clipboard sync in either or both directions is a nice compliance feature.
  • The multi-monitor support works, but is very weak compared to competitors like ScreenConnect in my opinion.
  • The file transfer is slow to get started and has occasional failures in my experience.
  • In my experience, Automatic re-connection after a disconnect doesn't always work. Sometimes you need to close and start a new connection I've found.
  • Splashtop is included and free with our RMM.
  • Splashtop has allowed us to get by without adding more monthly costs on another solution.
  • Splashtop allows us to easily and reliably support our remote users.
We have not used Splashtop support since starting using the product.
As part of our included RMM package, we do not have direct access to a Splashtop admin console. Thus it is more of a security by obscurity situation. I would like to see more of a ability to be able to edit and see with more granularity the security and setup of our organizations remote access tools.
I suppose our onboarding was good in that there were no hiccups. Our RMM automatically installs it on our endpoints and it has just worked for the most part. It's basically a black box since it is included and we are just along for the ride. That said, there have been no issues thus far with the roll-outs.

Single monitor remote machine setups are the best for Splashtop. It does great with a single monitor. In my opinion, it is a real pain to use with 3+ monitor setups since you have to cycle through them in order instead of being able to visually select one or cycle back and forth.

It was important that our remote support tool be included and integrated with our RMM to reduce cost and complexity. Splashtop checked both of these boxes.
No, Splashtop was still the best option for us.
