Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
I was collaborating with a colleague on a development project. He needed to use my desktop to use the design tools. I also needed to access my desktop from remote locations. This tool works perfectly, consistently, and at a great value. I had used remote desktop and other remote tools. This one is so easy to set up and contained all the features we needed to be successful.
- File transfers from/to remote location to desktop. A easy to use interface
- Remote control access works as it should.
- Easy setup and use.
- Multiple people connecting at the same time is a great feature
- I can't think of anything that needs improvement. Everything worked just as it was needed.
- Maybe a zoom meeting to allow more interaction when doing work together.
- Splashtop solved so many challenges working from different locations in different time zones. I could start work on my own desktop. Then a remote user could come in and we would share time working on the project.
Everything works without lags in response even though there is a good security model. Connections are fast.
Very quick and easy to set up. I installed it on my machine to host remote users. I then installed the client end on my laptop and I was up and running. A colleague did the same from his location and we were working quickly without spending time on a science project to install and set up. It was a great experience.

Using Splashtop Enterprise
Collaboration on design of web applications
1 - Just me.
- Having the design software on my desktop allowing collaboration from remote people
- File transfers from remote to my desktop allowed developer to create script libraries while connected, then transfer to my desktop.
- The main thing has been having two people connected to a design page and work together, brainstorm, and collaborate. Also worked well to resolve some trouble shooting issues that came up. Two sets of eyes on a problem has really helped.
- It could be used for remote support. But, it is not needed now.
Evaluating Splashtop Enterprise and Competitors
- Price
- Product Features
I had used Team Viewer as more of a personal product to connect to my desktop remotely. When it looked like I would be needing it for business, the price was too expensive. I upgraded my Windows 10 to allow for remote desktop. It worked for a while, then stopped. Could not figure out how to get support on it. Googled for the best rated products and found Splashtop along with others. Tried a couple of others as well as Splashtop. This one was the best as far as setting up, using, and features.
I would not have spent so much time trying to get MS Remote Desktop to work.
Splashtop Enterprise Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Change management was minimal
- Figuring out the two parts and how they are installed. Once that was done, it was a breeze.
