Overall Satisfaction with Tealium Customer Data Hub
It started for us with data collection and finding a way to bring all of our tagging into a simple, optimized solution that aggregated all of the data that we were trying to collect and it grew from there. At this point, we have now grown in our uses with Tealium and are using the event stream API hub for even more data and information.
Pros
- Simple tag management that is tough to beat. So many solutions that are incredibly simple to setup and gather data for.
- Security around the data is key and Tealium excels in this area.
- The speed impact of the tag setup is key to optimizing and allowing our web properties to run more effectively, which is a better experience for the end user.
Cons
- It is expensive when compared to other options, but you are going to get what you pay for.
- They have made strides in their customer service and support but I would still love just a little more. Overall, still very impressive.
- Predictive modeling is a little wonky
- Simple tag management, hands down.
- Easy way to collect and bring all our data into one place
- Pretty easy to setup and use the tools to analyze and get the most from the data you are collecting.
- Customer retention has gone up a lot, we really have seen the impact on repeat business.
- Marketing spend has certainly become more efficient and well managed.
So easy to setup, collect, and manage data from several sources. The initial legwork takes a little time to get the proper setup dialed in to your specs and needs, but once that is done you have everything you need and it is easy to keep scaling and adding more sources. The security measures in place are also key to protecting and keeping that data private, so we have been very thrilled with everything.
In the end, the overall scope of integrations available and the tools on hand were far greater on Tealium and couldn't be matched by any other company. The price is competitive but even though you will pay more, we found that it was worth the added expense. Can't speak to the customer service of those other companies as much, but we get top notch help and support from Tealium
