Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

We use TeamViewer in all departments. For us, it's an easy way to give access to a personal assistant or a help desk assistant. We use several applications for different vendors and TeamViewer is a tool used for all of them. This tool helps us to collaborate and save time when troubleshooting to get a solution as fast as we can.
  • Easy to use.
  • Everyone knows about it. And It's very easy to get and install.
  • One side license is enough to start using it.
  • The option to save the session with an administrator password helps to improve security and user control.
  • The price of upgrades. It supposed to be a lifetime license but it's not when you realize that the version you get goes obsolete and migration is almost as expensive as getting a new license.
  • It does not have a lockout option to avoid both users (local and remote) to control at the desktop at the same time. Change controls between users would be a good improvement
  • License scheme. A subscription license including upgrades could be better.
  • Get fast troubleshooting and solutions.
  • Improve productivity for our personal assistants. They just have to ask for help and it is very easy to them get assistance.
  • For our providers is easy to get in touch with us. Collaborating with this tool helps us to collaborate with everyone.
We use TeamViewer because it is known by everyone. The cost is appropriate for the size of our company and it is most convenient for almost all the partners and providers to collaborate with us.
But is not the only tool we use. We also use Webex. So we can not say we prefer TeamViewer over Webex, TeamViewer is just a more well know tool.
We haven't had much trouble using TeamViewer. It is a very stable application. We have asked for support just for license issues and the response time was very appropriate. We got a fast solution. Also, it is easy to get instant assistance via online chat. Very convenient for our system administrator.

We use it a lot when we work with our providers. All of them are familiarized with the tool and it is a fast way to get support. I say this is a good scenario for anyone.
On the other hand, for our internal use, we use other tools like Webex Meetings because TeamViewer does not offer SIP integration. If you need to video conference with a desk control, TeamViewer is not the best option.

Using TeamViewer

12 - Support is the primary function that uses it. Users get help for third party support centers and for them, it is easier to use this tool. It is also used by the account department to meet and share files while in a phone conference with third-party entities. Personally, I use it for low profile customers who aren't so invested in tech. For those users the tool is easy to download and use.
2 - Actually there isn't much need to use support. It's really easy to use. We have 2 system administrators who install the software and start the initial configuration. They only configure personalized password and block advanced features of the software. It is also to easy to do these tasks upon installation. No advance skills are needed.

  • As far as we know, TeamViewer only allows show, shared and desk control.
It is about license scheme. The problem is when the version approach to end of life and the version becomes unavailable, and upgrades are not valid. You have to pay extra for upgrade and in some instances, it becomes a better option to buy a new license.

It can be used anywhere for anyone, so it was a good choice for us. Most clients and business partners already know and use TeamViewer. It's like a standard in the market. Our service providers asked us to have.
Even though we use other products like Webex, we still consider getting a license for TeamViewer, a small one. Maybe the way they license the product has made us to keep just in the starter or basic license scheme but it works for us.
