Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

The payroll, benefits and HR team have all been extremely helpful in answering questions we have, setting up new HR procedures and coordinating various aspects of administration/payroll.

The technology platform has not added value, as previously mentioned, many of our employees have noted that it is complicated to use. We are an O&G tech company so our people are well trained in tech, and this product is not as straightforward as similar products we have used in the past.

When interacting with the staff at TriNet, I would say the usability is a 10/10 as everyone acts quickly, responds in a detailed manner and gives great feedback. On the technology side, as I have mentioned in other sections, the platform seems to be complicated for our employees to use, so I would rate the overall usability of TriNet a 9.
The TriNet solution is being used across the organization mainly to support payroll and benefits. In addition to this, we utilize our HR specialist to improve our HR processes within the organization.
  • Payroll is seamless.
  • W-2s are prepared by TriNet, making the year-end process very easy.
  • Benefit renewals.
  • TriNet Passport is not configured to upload customized employee handbook; handbook therefore not located in Passport.
  • PTO request has a submit and save button. The save button is not needed.
  • Healthcare plans were confusing when we first were onboarded to TriNet. It seemed there was a lack of understanding by the TriNet staff of the plans. We leaned on them for their knowledge, but the process was confusing.
  • HR compliance.
  • Safety program implemented after meeting with TriNet safety consultant.
  • Payroll accuracy.
TriNet does not charge a % of payroll as ADP TotalSource does, so on the cost side, TriNet is better, however in all other aspects, both products are very similar. The ADP TotalSource HR platform is easier to use and more straightforward, so I would choose them if I were looking for an HR Platform that was easy to use, without much training. However, as I mentioned, the cost is the only downside to ADP TotalSource.

TriNet is well suited to run payroll, benefits and HR.

The tech platform for HR passport has been buggy and complicated for our employees to use. When the TriNet sales person sold us the product, he said the technology was something that set TriNet apart. I would not agree with this statement as our other PEOs had more straightforward platforms with dashboards for employees, admin and management that were easy to use.
