Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Human Resources - primarily payroll and benefits

Particularly helpful as we have a team comprised of both in-person and remote employees located across the United States. Our TriNet team has been able to assist with the nuances of each state and offer advice as we develop our operations processes, employee handbook, and benefits offerings.
  • Managing Remote Teams
  • Nuisances of each states legal requirements
  • Ease of payroll processing
  • Reporting
  • Customer support is good, but response times are lacking
  • Dedicated support specialists for smaller organizations
  • Ways to compare benefit offerings - but I also heard this may be coming
  • HR compliance!
  • Remote employee benefit management
  • The new Wing space for our HR team
The platform is not always as intuitive as it seems like it could be and the training can be a bit difficult to locate. Each dashboard upgrade makes things a bit better and the addition of the Wing is improving the experience. Please continue adding learning materials and quick links to that format!
The support is hit or miss. Basic questions can be rapidly answered, but certain things seem to require a specialist that can have quite a lag time from the time a case is opened to reply and even more so to completion. Multiple times a transfer to a different agent is required. It can be frustrating and difficult, especially for a small company needing more immediate results.
Frankly, I didn't select TriNet, I inherited it from our previous HR manager. I am not sure that I would have selected it. While I would not have selected Justworks, I have had amazing experiences with ADP and based on cost and options would have been more likely to choose them again.

Do you think TriNet delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with TriNet's feature set?

Yes

Did TriNet live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of TriNet go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy TriNet again?

No

TriNet is best suited when your team is a bit larger (over 25 people) with a dedicated person for HR. Small companies may feel like they don't get the support they need and a person new to HR may be overwhelmed trying to find answers or get the necessary support. The features are great, but the support could be improved.
