Overall Satisfaction with UserTesting
Our UX/UI team uses UserTesting regularly to conduct research studies. We have used different features, from unmoderated tests like A/B testing or prototype tests to live User Interviews. We enjoy the pool of candidates that are found within a few minutes of the test launch. Why do we use it? To talk to users within our industry to understand their needs, motivations, and expectations when using products like ours. We believe this tool is currently the best option on the market to combine all of our research efforts. The only struggle is the limited amount of pre-screener questions and the limitations within Canada (provinces/terretories).
- Intuitive software
- Easy onboarding
- Fast participant recruitment
- Easy scheduling
- Confidentiality agreement toggle - Name might be confusing when used for other documents like NDAs or Privacy Policies
- Recruitment in Canada - balanced demographic within provinces/ territories
- Long term cost savings
- Testing is an investment
- Lower the risk before releasing a product
We are able to quickly set up any sort of test. Having access to the pool of users and getting connected so quickly, has really improved our product experience. People see the value of research and its results and more and more teams across the company are understanding it. We are also not the only ones using the tool in our company. Besides us designers and researcher, marketing and product manager are also utilizing UserTesting. We enjoy this positive influence!
User Interviews, like the name mentions, is highly focused on exactly that. The issue with this platform is that for any other type of testing you need to purchase third party integrations. This ends up costing more and gets complicated. I do enjoy the tool for what it is but wouldn’t opt for it as a UX Designer.
