Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

Webex is our primary video meeting communications tool and is useful for everything from 1:1 chats to events like town hall meetings with up to 1,000 people. It's a great solution for interactive training, especially now that all of our training is remote. I am constantly on Webex to stay connected with stakeholders, lead meetings, strategy sessions, and healthcare huddles. It helps us stay connected as an organization even though 1/3 of our workforce is remote.
  • Presentations.
  • Interactive training.
  • Events.
  • Webex can be slow to load and has frequent updates.
  • Sometimes I need to drop off VPN with Webex to maintain video which is a pain if I need to display content that is only accessible on VPN. It's not perfect.
  • We couldn't live without Webex these days. Even our hospital huddles have migrated to Webex. This has allowed us to have fewer people on-site to conserve PPE and have better infection control. Invaluable.
  • Webex enables 1/3 of our workforce to work remotely which saves on employee costs as well as employer costs (like parking and workspace) HUGE ROI.
Our environment does not allow for Google products due to security issues. We use Microsoft Teams frequently, but for smaller unscheduled meetings. The 50 person capacity issue is limiting for our large organization. The integration with outlook is essential. Zoom lacks features especially for training and more people experience audio issues, so Webex is really the best solution for us.
I haven't interfaced with Webex support directly our IT department does. The only problems I experience are the need to drop off of VPN sometimes to get Webex to work well with video (bandwidth issue?) and frequent updates. It seems like there is an update that caused a delay in loading every other week. That can be a pain when I just need to jump on a meeting.

Yes

Did Webex App live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex App again?

Yes

Webex is a key business tool with great functionality and features including polls, write-on screen, and breakouts that support collaboration for small groups and large events. It's easy to use and integration with Outlook is a huge plus with our organization. The only downside I have experienced is frequent crashing or hang-ups on VPN.
Webex is great for meetings from small team meetings to the 400+ person meetings I run monthly. Recording and presentations are easy with Webex. In this regard, it's much better than Zoom and fewer people seem to have audio issues. It's nice to have custom backgrounds for our company, especially when working with outside vendors. We have a 1000 person capacity for Webex and have to use Echo360 in conjunction with larger events, which we do have.
