Overall Satisfaction with WebPT

We utilize WebPT as our Physical Therapy practice's EMR. We also utilize their built-in scheduling, reports, and analytics. We utilize reports to identify missing documentation, incomplete patient information, physician referrals, and information regarding insurance. The software allows each of our providers to access his/her schedule, which is helpful to coordinate work/personal life needs. The EMR is Medicare compliant, which is a tremendous resource for navigating the chaos that is Medicare. There is also an option to create customizable documentation templates to make documentation fit the needs of our clinic. We have used this EMR for 10 years, and over time we have looked at other EMR software (to see what new products are available), but we have not found any that suit our needs as well or comprehensively as WebPT.
  • Medicare compliance
  • Blogs and webinars
  • Ease of scheduling
  • Accessibility for providers
  • Medicare documentation almost needs to be entered chronologically - not much wiggle room for slight delays in documentation (there gets to be some difficulty if a progress note is started before the 9th daily note is entered)
  • Exercise flow sheets are not very user-friendly for a busy clinic (at least in our experience)
  • Better compliance with Medicare regulations
  • Online EMR - allows for offsite documentation if needed
  • Online schedule - allows for offsite access to provider schedules, helps providers better coordinate between work and personal life
We utilize WebPT for documentation and to run reports and analytics. This helps with improved documentation completion/compliance and to assess referral information.
This has been a huge benefit with Medicare requirements with documentation. The EMR helps us determine when progress notes are needed at a glance. It also has required fields that must be entered in when Medicare is selected as the insurance. WebPT also provides free blogs and webinars, and a common topic is Medicare. They provide incredible information and resources when Medicare comes out with new regulations (when FLR/PQRS started, with MIPS, etc.). They make sure their clients have comprehensive information that is easy to understand.
About 2-3 years ago, we looked into different EMR software. We looked into Clinicient as a strong contestant to WebPT... and shortly after Clinicient/Keet was integrated into WebPT. A lot of the other software systems we looked at were either not as user-friendly or were so customizable that it required a significant amount of effort from the company/client to be usable.

Yes

Are you happy with WebPT's feature set?

Yes

Did WebPT live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of WebPT go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy WebPT again?

Yes

As previously mentioned, this is great software for EMR (especially if treating/billing Medicare or MedAdvantage plans), as well as commercial, workers comp/auto, and self-pay patients. It is easy to navigate. We have found that their integrated exercise flow sheets are a little awkward and difficult to manage/update in a busy clinic. Not all of our providers are fast/savvy with computers, so instead of using the build in flow sheets, we use printed exercise records and scan them into the patient's account.
