Overall Satisfaction with Wix

Wix is the platform we chose for building our website. The purpose of Creatively is to publish stories (long and short) and our website is what we will use to divulge our text stories, and it is mainly used by our creation subgroups (writing, drawing and music composition) to upload everyone's respective piece of work.
  • The design option is the best amongst other website building platforms, because it allows for maximum customization.
  • It is the easiest to build on; just easily insert text, images, buttons, sound samples and more, and drag them around the screen to position them wherever you feel like.
  • It is pretty much straightforward, meaning you don't need almost any previous knowledge at all on building websites. The commands and even the buying options are well explained, detailed and intuitive.
  • When you buy it, it initially charges you for the year; this is scary. You DO have an option to pay monthly but it is quite discreet, down below on the selection page. Be aware of that.
  • The menus, even though easy to use, could be less clunky.
  • If you don't pay a lot of attention to that, when you switch the design to mobile it loses some significant quality.
  • Wix will be our main point of publishing, so it is virtually indispensable for us.
  • Since we would have half of our business cut out without it, I'd say it is responsible for 50% of our productivity.
  • It did not present any negative points to our business.
Wix has the best WYSIWYG design method, since all others we tried showed not to reach anywhere near what our intentions towards the design were. It doesn't provide the best pricing if compared to, let's say, WordPress, but then again it fulfills basically everything we expected in terms of design and functionality.
Wix is good for everyone that wants to build their own website with little to no previous know-how on the subject. The prices are relatively good, so it fits most wallets, and probably the only situation in which I would say it is not actually appropriate would be if your intention is to build something like a blog, in which case platforms like WordPress would be more suitable.
